Granite is an attractive material that may appeal to you when replacing worktops:
• One of the main reasons people choose granite is its natural attractiveness. The colour will never change so it will always be as bright and vibrant as when it is first fitted.
• Granite is competitively priced and a drawing of your worktops is all that’s required for an estimate quote. Chamfer or square edge profiles are standard and the price increases with more labour-intensive edges such as a bull nose or ogee.
• One main benefit in selecting granite is that it will not scratch or chip with standard use. Only another piece of granite, or something harder, like diamond, will leave marks. In addition, it is heat resistant, and pan from the hob or oven can be placed right on the worktop without a problem. However we would not recommend you to do this.
• No two slabs of granite are ever precisely the same, like fingerprints. In spite of of how familiar a specific stone is, each application of that stone is exclusive and gorgeous in its own environment.
